Note: Can be used to slow down a too fast running game, fix flickering or too fast animations Max game ticks per second, possible values: -1 = disabled, -2 = refresh rate, 0 = emulate 60hz vblank, 1-1000 = custom game speed Hide WM_ACTIVATEAPP and WM_NCACTIVATE messages to prevent problems on alt+tab Use the following settings in case there are any issues with the game Enable linear (D3DTEXF_LINEAR) upscaling filter for the direct3d9 renderer (16 bit color depth games only) Enable C&C video resize hack - Stretches C&C cutscenes to fullscreen Should the window be resizeable by the user in windowed mode? Possible values: 0 = disabled, 1 = save to global 'ddraw' section, 2 = save to game specific section Save window position/size/state on game exit and restore it automatically on next game start

Renderer, possible values: auto, opengl, gdi, direct3d9 (auto = try direct3d9/opengl, fallback = gdi) Window position, -32000 = center to screen 2x scaling example: - 4x scaling example: Preliminary libretro shader support - (Requires 'renderer=opengl') Sensitivity will be adjusted according to the size of the window Note: Only works if stretching is enabled. Automatic mouse sensitivity scaling - (Requires 'handlemouse=true') Note: vsync=true can fix tearing but it will cause input lag Vertical synchronization, enable if you get tearing - (Requires 'renderer=auto/opengl/direct3d9') Note: Does not have an impact on the game speed, to limit your game speed use 'maxgameticks=' Real rendering rate, -1 = screen rate, 0 = unlimited, n = cap Windowboxing / Integer Scaling - (Requires 'handlemouse=true') Maintain aspect ratio - (Requires 'handlemouse=true') Run in windowed mode rather than going fullscreen

Note: Can be combined with 'windowed=true' to get windowed-fullscreen aka borderless mode Override the width/height settings shown above and always stretch to fullscreen Stretch to custom resolution, 0 = defaults to the size game requests Use the following settings to adjust the look and feel to your liking To enable upscaling via shaders in -windowed mode- just set 'fullscreen=false' and 'windowed=true' then start the game and resize your window or set 'width=' and 'height=' to the desired window size To enable upscaling via shaders in -fullscreen mode- just set 'fullscreen=true' and 'windowed=false'

If for example someone used vertical taskbar on right side, you wouldn't have to do anything then, full res vertical + no offset, since it wouldn't colide with taskbar in any way. Offset pushes the window by x pixels from left edge of screen.

But since my taskbar is on the left hand side of the screen, I need to put offset, so left edge of d2 window isn't covered by taskbar. In my screenshot example, I don't have taskbar at the bottom, so I don't need to do this, it can streach all the way to the bottom, utilizing my full 1440p res. And if you don't put anything in offset box, your window will be touching left top corner of the screen, and reach all the way to the bottom taskbar, but not under the taskbar. To calculate other resulution for 4:3 aspect ratio, use this calc: įor 1050p it shows 1400 horizontal res, so 1400x1050.

Then your window must scale not to 1080p but to 1080-50 = 1030p.

So you need to factor that in, check how many pixels your taskbar takes (can do this by trial and error). Position of window is controlled by offset parameters, directly under where you put resolution.Īnother thing: if you use taskbar that is at the bottom of screen, horizontal, you cant resize your window to 1440x1080p, because then part of the window will be under the taskbar.
